The fan's support helped the fourth-seeded Pirates secure a 72-61 win over No. 5 Creighton in the quarterfinals, setting them up a Round 3 match against St. John’s in the semifinals. The Pirates need to win the Big East Tournament to advance to the NCAA Tournament, with either Georgetown or UConn expected in the finals.
