Hewlett-Woodmere District has appointed administrators Kimberly Thompson, Joseph Virgilio, Becky Kim, and Krista Albrecht to new roles. Thompson will be the district's director of STEM, Virilio will be director of business and P-12 college and career pathways, Kim will serve as director of humanities, and Albrect will be technical director of technologies. These appointments are effective on Jul. 1 and represent a "bold step forward" for the school district's commitment to preparing students for a future that is not merely aspirational but living. The new role replaces a more traditional department chair model.
