Los Angeles Kings' Anze Kopitar is on the verge of breaking the Kings' all-time scoring record, scoring his 448th goal in a 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders in Elmont, N.Y. The Kings, who have spent their entire 20-year career with the Kings, also increased their career point total to 1,306, one shy of Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne. Trevor Moore and Adrian Kempe also scored in the first period for the Kings. Emil Heineman scored both goals for the Islanders, who fell short in their bid to recover from a multi-goal deficit. Goalie Ilya Sorokin recorded 24 saves for the team.
