The Honda RC51, a V-Twin motorcycle, was launched in 1999 for the purpose of winning World Superbike Championships. It had a 999cc V-twin engine that revved to 10,000 rpm and was significantly less expensive than a comparable model of the Ducati. Despite being heavier than the other, the RC51 won two World Superbodies in 2000 and 2002. The RC51 was only made from 2000 to 2006.
