Toyota's Lexus brand has been testing a three-row electric SUV for the first time, expected to arrive as a higher-end sibling to the Highlander EV. The electric Lexus TZ was spotted testing in Europe ahead of its expected debut later this year or early 2027. The prototype is still covered in camouflage and reveals slight design changes from the Toyota Highlander EV, which is based on the same modified version of Toyota’s TNGA-K platform. The new vehicle is expected to compete with the Highlander BEV, which will be available with two battery pack options: 77 kWh or 95.8 kWh.
