Lake County Truck Sales, a company operated by four generations of the Anderson family, will close its doors for the last time when it officially closes its doors on Old Skokie Road in Park City after 54 years. The business, which sells trucks and maintains them, was started by Ron Anderson and Stephen Anderson in 1969 and is currently run by their father, Clyde Anderson, who ran the business together. The parts manager, Greg Anderson, will end his 45-year career when the business closes. The company, which has been operating since boyhood, sold all GMC trucks and continued to thrive in its current form from 2010 to 2022. The closure of the business marks the end of an era in Waukegan, with Anderson expressing happiness and sadness at knowing it was the only job he had ever held.
