L Luxembourg startup TerraSpark has raised over €5 million in a pre-seed round to prove radio-frequency wireless power transmission on the ground before scaling to orbit. The company's CTO, Dr Sanjay Vijendran, was part of the European Space Agency's Solaris SBSP initiative until it was halted in 2024 due to insufficient readiness for a demonstration mission. The firm's approach is modular and phased, with its goal being to build commercial radio-facelift systems for use on Earth, generating revenue, and satisfying regulators while building towards the orbital version. In 2026, the company plans to demonstrate wireless power distribution over controlled distances on Earth and then launch an orbital technology demonstrator in 2027.
