Marisa Nero, a junior at Central Bucks East, and Tyler Lockett, a senior from Central Bucks South, are competing for Blood Cancer United’s Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, which aims to create a world without blood cancers among young high school students. The campaign teaches participants valuable skills such as organization, presentation, marketing, financial planning, public speaking, time management, and leadership. Marisa and Lockett are seeking public assistance to reach their goal of raising $80,000 through personal fundraising and Dine and Donate events. The money raised by these students will be used for research, patient advocacy, and support.
