A Greenfield man, AMANDA LANGE, has been approved for lifetime mental health care after he murdered 49-year-old man in 2019. The judge found him unfit to stand trial and ordered him to attend a MENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE in 2020. He was released without being notified by the court or district attorney. Despite pleading guilty to the murder in December, he was found not guilty by reason of mental illness or defect. The victim's brother and attorney, Bob Donovan, have requested a review of the state's Mental Health Law regarding the case. The state will make a decision on whether to review the law or not to review it.
