The UNM Lobos lost 82-74 to Colorado State on Senior Night, falling to 13-6 in Mountain West play, tied with San Diego State for second and potentially securing a share of the Mountain West title with a win over first-place Utah State. The Rams hit 11 3-pointers, shot 58.5% from the field and extended their win streak to eight games. The loss leaves UNM (22-8 overall) without a win and leaves them with a chance for at least a second-place spot in the league. The game was marked by Senior Night ceremonies and the final game of the season for the Lobos. UNM was led by 22 points by senior Deyton Albury and 14 by Tomislav Buljan. The team is hoping to appeal for an extra season of playing eligibility for players who had only one year of eligibility granted by the NCAA when he came to the United States after playing professionally in his home country of Croatia.
