Heavy Rain In Store For NYC, Forecasters Say

The National Weather Service has predicted that heavy rain is expected for New York City on Wednesday night, with a 90 percent chance of precipitation forecast. Rainfall totals are expected to be between a half and three-quarters of an inch, but could increase to as much as an inch. The New York city Department of Emergency Management predicts that the heaviest rain will occur between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., with the heaviest rainfall expected to occur during the night. The National Weather Services predicts that by afternoon, temperatures will rebound into the mid-60s and a strong northwest wind will clear the system, allowing for a crisp Thursday night and a sunny, breezy Friday.
