This year marked a period of reflection and renewal that led to her latest book, "Getting Naked: The Quiet Work of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect," which is part memoir and part self-help guide. The book was inspired by Bertinelli's struggle with her self-image, which she attributes to the trauma of sexual abuse from when she was 11. Since then, Bertinelli has struggled with self image both privately and publicly, having previously served as a Jenny Craig spokesperson for six years. She now focuses on the things in life that bring joy rather than worrying about her appearance.
