BTS performed in the U.S. for the first time in four years at an intimate event hosted by Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE, an invitation-only event, performance and Q&A for 1,000 of the group's top Spotify listeners. The event was held at New York City's South Street Seaport and marked BTS's first performance in the States since their Permission to Dance: Las Vegas concerts in 2022. The group's new album, ARIRANG, was released on March 20 and has sold nearly 4 million copies on its first day. BTS members, RM, Jin, SUGA, Jimin, V and Jungkook, debuted the album with a global concert event, BTS The Comeback Live: ARIRang, which was live-streamed to 190 countries on Netflix from South Korea.
