Rory McIlroy, a two-time defending Masters champion, was singled out at the White House state dinner during King Charles III's state visit. President Donald Trump interrupted his speech to praise McIlory for his courage and support his victory at the tournament. Despite criticism of Trump's handling of the COVID crisis, McIlour has reportedly played golf with him several times and will not participate in this weekend's Cadillac Championship Tournament at Trump National Doral.
