In one of the largest real-world demonstrations of construction robots being used in utility-scale solar construction, Maximo has successfully installed 100 MW of solar capacity at the AES Bellefield solar complex in Southern California. The company claims that its latest version 3.0 robots have nearly doubled the output of traditional installation methods. The rapid deployment of solar panels at utility scale projects comes at a crucial time due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and potentially permanently crippled fossil fuel production capabilities. Amazon Web Services (AWS) powered the development, deployment, and operation of Maximo’s AI-driven field systems.
