The Co-op, Mineral and Fossil Galleries on Oracle Road, Tucson, is set to open its doors for a spring showcase. From May 8 through May 10, four owner-members will open their stores to give Tucson another opportunity to explore the fossil and mineral history. The Cooworld Gallery, a “store” that sells dinosaur and other high-end fossils, specializes in teaching consumers how to display fossils as pieces of art. Kira Florence, vice president of sales and marketing for North America and COO for Geoworld Group, said the co-op's focus is on making it more accessible for people to think about nature in their homes as art. The Spring Showcase will feature four outlets, including a museum-quality fossils, minerals, and natural history objects displayed as works of art under the Stefano Piccini Bespoke Nature collection.
