Three juvenile defendants have been charged with third-degree felony arson in the arson attack on the Mill Race Inn in Northampton. The building has been vacant since Hurricane Floyd damaged it in 1999 and was set to be partially restored under a redevelopment plan approved by the township in 2025. The plan includes construction of a 33-unit age-restricted 55-and-over residential condominium complex and transformation of 2,000 square feet of the building into office space. The fire was not immediately known how it would impact the redevelopment plans. The owners of the property challenged the condemnation in 2015, arguing that the Redevelopment Authority of Bucks County (RDA) did not follow proper procedures when it initiated its condemnation of the site.
