Waiting for 'safe and sustainable' strait crossings, top shipping execs say

Top shipping executives from Japan's Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (9104.T) and the world's largest shipping company, respectively, have expressed their need for safe and sustainable passage through the Strait of Hormuz. This comes despite a temporary ceasefire between the two countries. Concerns about safety remain even if the strait reopens, with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warning of mines around it. Shipping traffic has been at a standstill since the U.S.-Iran war broke out on February 28, disrupting energy supplies from the Gulf.
