New state data reveals that hundreds of clients of Medicaid care services in Minnesota are impacted by fraud-related reviews. So far, 829 people have been impacted, based on 197 providers who received a disenrollment notification and did not appeal after at least two weeks. This information is expected to change as DHS works to revalidate a few thousand providers through its agreement with federal officials. The data was presented at a meeting related to continuity of care for those served by disenrolled providers. Clients who recently lost services under the Integrated Community Supports (ICS) program said an office in the building was previously staffed every day and staff were on call 24/7 due to the suspension of their provider, Metro Care Human Services. The agency is currently reviewing thousands of providers in these programs.
