The Ohio Division of Wildlife is set to stock a truckload of rainbow trout at Beartown Lakes Reservation in Geauga County, as part of a spring effort to release roughly 80,000 coldwater fish across over 100 lakes and ponds. The trout, measuring between 10 and 13 inches, are expected to attract anglers early in the season. The partnership between the state and the Geauga Park District, which began in 2022, aims to make fishing more accessible and increase outdoor activities. The fishing regulations allow a daily limit of five trout in inland waters, with no minimum size requirement.
