Cal State San Marcos and Palomar College, two of the nation's most successful softball programs, are neighbors in San Marcos, California. CalUSM is currently second in the NCAA Division II rankings and PalOMar College is 22-1 and averaging 10.6 runs a game. CSUSM's two leading pitchers have combined for 21 wins. Meanwhile, Palomer College is on a 10-game winning streak. The area also hosts two successful baseball teams.
