A reader recently purchased a pair of Dayton speakers for desktop computers, which connect via Bluetooth, making a loud, disruptive sound that he finds particularly annoying. He asked him to disconnect the speakers from the computer and pair them to his cell phone to check if they still made the same connection chime. However, there is no official information on disabling or lowering the volume of the connection sound.
