Despite not naming President Donald Trump, Roberts addressed the belief among some critics that Supreme Court justices are chosen to support his party's agenda. He has been criticized recently for creating attacks to undermine the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Roberts has led the Supreme Court since 2005 and was appointed by President George W. Bush.
