New York restaurant Regina's Grocery is set to open a new eatery at 1629 Second Ave. between East 85th Street and East 84th Street. The restaurant will be located opposite to Ethyl's Bar and Restaurant, a 70s-themed bar. The move marks a creative partnership with the owner Gerald Renneth, who shares a love of Italian sandwiches and disco with Rennenneth. The new location is only a few blocks away from Regina's former East 88th Street outpost, which closed due to a landlord dispute. The soft opening for the new Regina’s Grocery atEthyl's is set for Thursday, followed by a fuller rollout that weekend.
