Chicago police questioning ‘person of interest’ in Loyola slaying

Chicago police are questioning a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Loyola University freshman Sheridan Gorman. The shooting occurred on the pier at Loyol Beach in Rogers Park, where Gorman was found with a gunshot wound to the back. Police say the victim was walking with friends when a gunman approached them and fired at them. Gorman, who was studying business at Lolyol, was involved in the Christian campus group Cru and had a reputation around campus despite his short tenure.
