One Lunar Eclipse but no March weather madness in our forecast

February ended with our first 80 degree day of the year, with temperatures reaching the mid-month highs in the low 70's and mid-80s, but March started with temperatures in the mid to mid-90s, which are expected to remain mild throughout the week. However, a total lunar eclipse is expected early Tuesday morning, with the Moon completely eclipsed, turning a 'blood red' color throughout totality. This will be an early one, but the next one will occur on August 27th at an earlier (and warmer) hour, with 90% of the Moon eclipsed behind the Earth's shadow. Despite this, there is a chance of a small patch or two of thick fog both early Monday and early Tuesday mornings, as we're nearing the end of our fog season. The article also notes that 40 days of dense fog this season in Fresno have been recorded, the most in 23 years, marking a decrease in days of the past 30 years. Agriculture has contributed to this decrease in fog days, particularly in the 1960s and 70s, with agriculture accounting for a significant drop in days in Fresno.
