Former senior intelligence official, Joe Kent, who resigned in protest over the Iran war, is under investigation by the FBI for allegedly leaking classified information. Kent, a longtime Trump ally and retired Green Beret, resigned as director of the National Counterterrorism Center after he disagreed with the decision to go to war against Iran and claimed that the regime did not pose an imminent threat as the Trump administration has claimed. The FBI declined to comment on the investigation. In his first interview since his resignation, Kent acknowledged attempts to discredit him but welcomed a chance to speak with President Donald Trump.
