Chinese AI company, Minimax, has reported a 159% year-on-year increase in revenue to $79 million, with over 70% of sales outside China. The company's products related to AI, primarily consumer subscriptions, saw a 143.4% surge in revenue. This growth reflects rising demand for cheaper, open-source-based models from Chinese providers like MiniMax and DeepSeek. However, MiniMax remains loss-making, posting a net loss of $1.87 billion in 2025 compared to $465.2 million the previous year.
