Spanberger: Pentagon targeting of William & Mary over ideology is ‘just outrageous’

The Department of Defense has announced that it will eliminate a Pentagon-backed tuition-assistance fellowship at several universities, including William & Mary, due to ideological differences. Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger called this an "outrageous attack on yet another point of pride" and stated that the universities have a long history of supporting military tradition and education. The department's decision to discontinue the fellowship will result in the cancellation of 93 military students' military fellowships.
