A strong cold front will sweep through Nebraska, bringing a 20-30 degree temperature drop by Tuesday morning and bringing clouds, cooler weather and areas of light rain. While there is some energy in place over far southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa, the dry air mass will prevent strong storms from developing in our area. The best chance for organized storms with hail and strong winds is south of the Kansas City area, where higher moisture levels are higher. Temperatures will drop to the mid-40s in southeast Nebraska, and dip into the 30s across western areas, potentially causing frosting. The Panhandle and Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Wyoming and northern Colorado will see snow develop Tuesday into Wednesday, with accumulations reaching a couple inches. The next best chance of precipitation is Saturday night into Sunday with a chance for showers and storms, but temperatures will remain above the mid-$70s.
