UCLA football coach Bob Chesney is teaching his team how to handle TV timeouts during spring practices, which he believes is crucial for the preparation for the upcoming season. During practice, Chesney actively involved in the practice and instructs his team about adjustments to make during these timeouts. He also incorporates one-on-one competitions throughout practice as a means to keep the team focused on accountability. After a difficult transfer from Tennessee, quarterback Nico Iamaleava has settled in and is settling in well ahead of his second season as a Bruin. Chesney emphasized the importance of testing new skills in pressure situations rather than waiting until games to find out if they will perform well in such situations.
