Graphic Shows Close Calls Between Planes and Workers on Airport Runway

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ASP) has released graphic images showing two close encounters between passenger planes and workers at Melbourne Airport in 2023. The incidents occurred when a Malaysia Airlines plane and a Bamboo Airways plane ran over a runway that was temporarily shortened due to work. No one was injured during these incidents. After these incidents, changes were implemented by Airservices Australia to prevent similar incidents.
