Comedian Deon Cole hosted the 57th annual NAACP Image Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday (February 28), which featured no musical performances. During his opening monologue, Cole addressed several topics, including the Epstein files and the N-word controversy surrounding the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards. He also led a prayer for several entertainers, including Nicki Minaj, Teyana Taylor, 50 Cent, and Nickyjay. Other notable moments included Samuel L. Jackson's tribute to Rev. Jesse Jackson.
