Sheriff's deputy chase on I-295 ends after driver crashes into trailer

A Cumberland County sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a driver driving erratically on Interstate 295, but the driver did not yield. The chase ended when the driver hit a guardrail and a utility trailer, causing the vehicle to topple. The driver was taken to a medical facility for treatment. The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
