Nazareth High School girls' basketball team advanced to the IHSA Class 4A state semifinals after a 54-42 victory over Waubonsie Valley. The Roadrunners' defense improved late in the game, with junior guard Sophia Towne and senior guard Lyla Shelton key players. This victory marks Nazareth's third consecutive move to Bloomington-Normal for the third time in four years. The team's performance was praised by forward Stella Sakalas, who scored nine points and 11 rebounds. Waubonie's 42 points were a season low.
