Four Minnesota legislators have united to support a bill that would prohibit local governments from entering non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with private entities. The bill argues that the use of these terms leaves residents in the dark about plans to bring controversial projects to their communities. Critics, including the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, argue that the bill could undermine economic development negotiations between municipalities and private businesses. The co-authors are both Democrats and Republicans.
