Orleans Parish jail escapee convicted of murder

Lenton Vanburen Jr. was convicted of murdering himself, one of the alleged leaders of the notorious Orleans Parish jailbreak. He was found competent to stand trial for the crime and is set to be sentenced to death in September. The charges stem from a deadly shooting in 2021.
