Asia-Pacific markets are expected to rise following a sharp drop in oil prices, which eased investor concerns about the Middle East conflict. U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he has instructed the U.K. military to delay planned strikes on Iran's power plants and energy facilities for five days, following discussions with Iranian officials. However, Iranian state media disputed this, stating there were no talks taken place between Washington and Tehran. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 also rose, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.38% overnight.
