Brown bear injures jogger in Slovakia

A 31-year-old man has been attacked by a brown bear in a recreational area near a town in Slovakia. The incident occurred near an observatory on the popular Urpin hill, above the regional capital Banská Bystrica. The man escaped and alerted emergency services. He is currently in a stable condition in hospital. The police have launched a search for the animal, which is part of the state's Brown Bear Task Force.
