Energy consultancy Cornwall Insight predicts that the typical annual household energy bill could rise by £332 in July, largely due to a surge in oil and gas prices as the US-Israel war on Iran continues. The regulator Ofgem will set the July cap on energy bills for households on 27 May, based on wholesale prices. The current price cap covers about 19 million households in England, Wales, and Scotland.
