A member-only club, Stylus, is set to open later this year on Clinton Street in New York. The club will cap membership at just 750 people, focusing on artists, scientists, musicians and other creative types. The space, which has a history of being transformed into a 10,000-square-foot, four-story playground for those who care deeply about sound, will feature a double-height listening room called "Ephemeral," designed to make everything sound better. A subterranean space called "Subsequent" will also offer 40Hz sound-and-forth sessions aimed at boosting focus, sleep and cognitive function. The food program will include seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and guest chef residencies, workshops, and private dinners.
