Old Dominion University baseball team defeated Arkansas State 8-0 in the first game of a Sun Belt doubleheader. Darin Kuskie pitched six scoreless innings and 11 strikeouts, while Will Johnson had three hits and three RBIs. The Monarchs' lead was 7-0, with Maverick Stallings, Zach Leite and Efrain Morales contributing two hits each. Ben Tanton earned his first save with three hitless innings of relief. The teams will take Saturday off due to inclement weather. Other notable games included a win for Norfolk State, which broke a three-game streak against the Hawks.
