Retired Buccaneers linebacker, Lavonte David, revealed that Antonio Brown's departure from the team during a game against the Jets in 2022 was a prelude to a potentially explosive incident. David, who retired after 14 seasons with Tampa Bay, stated that Brown was "pissed off" and that it was clear he might snap soon. He also recalled being asked by Bucs brass to calm Brown down during a walk-through practice. David said that Brown's behavior negatively impacted the team's chances of reaching consecutive Super Bowls after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2021 Super Bowl.
