Make sure the tree is a good match for the sunlight conditions, soil and available space, and remember that trees grow wider as they grow taller. Don't plant too deeply, which can cause problems if roots are buried too deeply. Measure the root ball, soil, and soil conditions. Water the tree for at least two years and maintain regular watering.
