Barrier-breaking race car champion with autism to headline 2026 Picnic in the Park celebration

Racing champion Austin Riley, the first professional race car driver with autism, will headline the 2026 Picnic in the Park celebration in Los Angeles. The event, which runs from noon to 3 p.m. at Griffith Park's Crystal Springs picnic area, will be held at the free event offering family-friendly park games, music and dancing, plus free food and refreshments. Riley, a multi-time champion and first professional driver with autistic, will also join the event to sign autographs and share his experiences on the track. The CEO of Jay Nolan Community Services, Edward Amey, praised Riley's contribution to raising awareness for autism and empowering people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
