The second highest reimbursement total in the Senate is from a local lawmaker, with expenses totalling $35,022. This is not surprising as most of the top expense totals in both the state Senate and House of Representatives are for those who live the farthest from Little Rock. The state has paid the most to legislators who attended the most meetings between legislative sessions, lived the most from the state capital, attended most out-of-state conferences, and received more than $100 per cent per capita.
