Chinese car manufacturer, BYD, has made a significant shift towards the US, where it is now the largest EV maker on the planet. At the Beijing Auto Show, executive vice president Stella Li stated that the company survives and is successful without the US market. This shift aligns with the trend of Chinese EV export data against forecasts from the International Energy Agency (IEA) and other agencies. BYD's European sales jumped 270% in 2025 and 156% year over year in the first quarter. The company plans to build 20,000 flash-charging stations in China and 6,000 overseas within the next 12 months. The firm's battery operation alone is worth nearly the entire current market cap of the company.
