Marvel has released a comic book prequel, X-Men '97 season 2, written by Steve Foxe and drawn by Salvin Espa, to fill in some gaps between season 1 and season 2. The prequel will directly set up X-men '97 seasons 2, introducing some of the biggest plotlines and characters that will feature in the new season. The comic will go on sale on June 3 and no specific premiere date has been announced.
