Hudson residents have expressed their preference for a walkable, lower-density development in a 20-acre downtown project called Clinton Crossing, according to results from a months-long public engagement process. The feedback is helping shape plans for the project, which was approved by the Hudson City Council and aims to create a mix of housing, public space, and community amenities. Over 120 residents participated in three public input sessions between June 10 and June 17, which produced 17 concept plans for site. Walking trails were the most popular amenity, with 67% of respondents supporting walking trails. Concerns were raised about traffic, parking, railroad underpass limitations and overdevelopment. The city has identified Plans 2, 9 and 10 as the most successful of the original 17 concepts and has since refined them for further review.
