The city of Marshall, Texas, is working towards restoring the water system to full operation following ongoing repairs. City officials have issued guidelines for residents to reduce water usage and maintain a burn ban. The guidelines include caution against using excessive amounts of water, not using water from fire hydrants for construction or non-emergency purposes, and using dishwashers and washing machines with full loads. Water should only be used after boiling.
